2022 Canada Day
Here are some photos of the Malahat Legion 2022 Canada Day celebration. The day started at 8:30 am with the Malahat Lions serving their traditional pancake and sausage breakfast and coffee. We were honoured to have NDP member of parliament, Alistair MacGregor present our WW II veteran with a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee pin.
The parade kicked off at 12 noon sharp. Lots came back for free Canada Day cake and music by Turnip the Beet in the Legion’s back yard.

July 1st started at 8:30 am with the Mill Bay Lions service their traditional pancake and sausage breakfast.

Good closeup of the colour party. Stan in the middle is blind and using the flag instead of his normal white cane here.

Colour party assembly. Left to right - RCMP Jim MacMillan-Murphy, BoB Cleroux, Stan Grenda, Ben Webber and Dwight Grieve. That's Neil Grandmunt pushing Jim.
