Legion Members Receive Prestigious King Charles Corronation Medal
|
|
|
June 2024, BC/Yukon announced the opportunity for 3 members in good standing could apply for one of the King Charles III Coronation Medals. As Honours and Awards chair, I submitted three names along with a citation:
|
- Dwight Grieve - Sargent at Arms
- Bob Clereaux - Vice President Malahat Legion; and
- Virginia Bauder - Malahat Legion Treasurer
To my delight I received notice last January 22nd that all three are to be awarded the Medal Saturday, 11 am March 1st at the Langford Branch.

Virginia will not be attending. She received notice from our Member of Parliament, Alistair MacGregor, she would be receiving her medal along with 13 others recognized as providing exceptional community service. That ceremony took place January 18th at Arbutus Ridge.

Valentine's Night Dinner and Music Trivia Contest!

Join us for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, featuring an 8 oz strip loin steak grilled to perfection, served with a loaded baked potato (sour cream, chives, bacon bits, and buttered garlic bread). Stay for a fun night of pub trivia, hosted by the talented Mits Nakagawa, and enjoy great food, entertainment, laughter, music, and fantastic prizes.
