Saturday, October 5th - Ham And Turkey Meat Draw
|
|
|
|
Join us for our ham and turkey meat draw - no beef. This is a big event and is a popular one. Be sure to get there early. Draws at 3, 4 and 5 FIVE winners on each hourly draw. Half time draw at 3:30, 4:30 and 5:00 will be all Hams and Turkeys. Check out our 50/50 draw too..

Wednesday, October 16th - Poppy Stuffing Kickoff
|
|
|
The Legion stuffs about 6,000 envelopes with poppies for community mailboxes.
|
- Free sandwiches provided from 11 am to 12:45 pm for volunteers
- Everyone is welcome! Bring your friends and socialize while you work.
|
|
|

Friday, October 18th - BBQ Steak and Music Bingo!
|
|
|
Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring a mouth-watering BBQ'ed 8 oz strip loin steak, folowed by Holly Dopking's fun filled music bingo.

|

|
Please attend our General Meeting. These are the third Sunday of the month at 1 PM

Why you are needed
- Learn how your Legion is doing.
- Your vote is needed for your Legion's motions for financial support from our Poppy Fund to Veterans in need.
- We also need you vote for motions for financial support from our Meat Draw money to worthwhile community initiatives like the CMS food bank
|

Thursday, October 24th - Veterans Dinner
|
|
|
Once a year we honour our veterans with a white table veterans dinner paid in part from our Poppy fund. Invited guests are welcome for a $30 fee. Dinner is free for Veterans, Veteran's widdows and caregivers and is by invitation only. As a Legion veteran you will receive your invitation to register by email.

|
October 25th - Poppy Taggers Needed
|
|
|
Volunteers are essential for canvassing at various business locations around Mill Bay and Valleyview. The funds collected through these efforts are crucial in providing support for elderly veterans, as well as retired RCMP and police officers.
